Italia La Mamma UP 2000 Armchair Soara
Designed in 1969, from the onset the Up series has been one of the most outstanding expressions of design with its expressive shapes upholstered with elastic fabric. The seven items that form it include the armchair and pouf UP5_6, icon of modernity, metaphor of the female figure that is endowed with a comfortable womb and is yet a prisoner. This unrivalled icon of design is available in a junior version, which is identical to the original except for being smaller in size. Designed for children aged over 3 years.
Serie Up 50 Lounge Chair Ottoman — Soara Stripe
To honor the 50th anniversary of the Serie Up collection, Gaetano Pesce and B&B Italia have developed a new option — petrol green with beige stripe fabric offered exclusively for the Up 5_6.
The Serie Up, created by Gaetano Pesce in 1969, features lounge chairs, a sofa, and an ottoman composed of jersey-covered polyurethane foam in various shapes. The Up 5 Lounge Chair is the most iconic piece from the collection. The shape is a sensuously curved form to which its companion, the Up 6 Ottoman, is tethered. Pesce once described the chair as a female figure tied to a ball-shaped ottoman, symbolizing the shackles that keep women subjugated.
